Mark Sullivan is a music composer and a photographer. His music compositions have been performed, and his photographs published and exhibited around the US, Europe, and Asia. He has carried out creative projects, related to research on the relationship between music, language, and movement, on the relationship between still images and sound, and on language shared between the visual and the acoustic domains.
He has been active in engaged scholarship centered on the arts, creative activity, the creative use of technology, and education, and for the last two decades, has become increasingly involved with the pedagogy of composition, and the pedagogy of creativity. He is currently director of a major collaborative initiative, involving education, entrepreneurial, and community partners, focused on research on the creative process, as it cuts across the arts and sciences.
